I know my rhythm isn't this poor.
When I record in Garageband or Audacity, there is a good half beat disparity between my click track and what I record.
My machine is fairly new (Macbook 2 GHZ Intel Core Duo, 4GB Ram, 10.4.11, iLife '08, 100gb free disk space) so I don't think its a hardware issue. I remember using Cakewalk on a Pentium-83 almost a decade ago and having no problems so this is a bit frustrating.
What should I do, other than go analog?
I've tried using my USB Snowball as well as built-in mic, so that's not the issue. Could there be some other simple thing that's gumming up the operation? I've taken a look at my CPU usage and nothing seems to be hogging and I have nothing else open.
Thanks
