Alu macbook runs warmer than whitebook [test]

This isn't a complaint, merely an observation. I own two macbooks at the moment, a 2007 white macbook (2 ghz, rev 3.1) and a new aluminum macbook (2.4ghz, rev 5.1).

Anyways, I put them side by side and ran some "tests", I compared the screens, the speaker quality and the temperatures using iStat Pro.

CPU:
The result was a bit surprising to me: the white (older) macbook ran at an average CPU temperature of ~86 degrees while the new alu one ran at ~96 degrees fahrenheit.

Fans:
Old macbook avg RPM: ~1800
New macbook avg RPM: ~2000

So in conclusion, the new macbooks ARE hotter even though their fans run at higher speeds. Can anyone explain this? Wouldn't this impact battery life?

I might mention that all this was basically while browsing the web, playing music in iTunes or idling.

That would explain why the "enclosure parts" are ~5 degrees hotter than on the white macbook, but not the CPU temperatures/fans.

That would explain why the "enclosure parts" are ~5 degrees hotter than on the white macbook, but not the CPU temperatures/fans.On more thing. I've done my own tests and Apple has tweaked the SMC on the new aluminium laptops not to throttle up the fans until they reach much higher temperatures.

Maybe the Porn sites are making the computer a little hotter!:D anyways you would think the alum. one would be running cooler with the latest and greatest technology in it.
