enclosure for old MBP drive

I'm going to be upgrading my 80GB internal for a 250GB, and want to use the old 80 as an every-once-in-a-while backup/clone to complement time machine (it'll be kept at home when I'm at college).

can I get something like this?:

do I just put the drive in and connect with a standard USB cable? is it that easy? any help would be great

Yep, it's that easy. Just be aware that I don't think you'll be able to create a boot drive from it. Also, while USB 2.0 is fairly fast for file backup, it doesn't have the sustained transfer rate that firewire has. But for general purpose backup, it's okay.

Be sure you get the SATA one -- the online Macally listings can be confusing.

I have 5 or 6 of these in the field and all work effectively.

yea I use a firewire 400 connection for my time machine external - this will be once every few months when I'm home, just to update an at-home backup, so I dont mind the USB 2.0
