Good. So can anyone tell me if it has re-routing? I think this is the only question mark remaining about this app.

started downloading on my wifi at home before work, but since the app is over 900 mb, I had to get going in the middle of the download. Didn't want to be late for work. Guess I finish the download when I get home tonight.

Ummm, so ? Why does anyone care ? Didn't we come to the conclusion from the other version that this app is garbage, and they lied on their website (consequently taking down the lying parts). I think we came to the conclusion that this was an utter waste of $20. What does this offer that is worth $20 ?

I'm interested to see how this compares to a stand alone GPS device. Someone who purchases it please review :). Could definitely be worth $20

Without purchasing it, the only thing that I can see why it would be stand alone is that you don't need any signal to get a route. (I lost my way last week because my Maps lost signal and wasn't able to route where I needed to go.
But curious Scott, can you explain more on what they lied about before?

I used the West map yesterday and I can tell you that it does re-rout. It took about 4-5 seconds for it to do that after we got off the suggested road. It tells you on the bottom what street you're on, and on the top what street you need to turn on to. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you if you need to turn left or right, and when you're approaching the intersection. For that you kinda have to look at the map like google maps, but it's much more accurate with your location.

check the reviews.
Unfortunately it seems like many of the reviewers may not be telling the truth themselves. When it comes to the 3d views, they do exist but only in a few major intersections from my understanding. This is true with many of the new in car nav's that show 3d views. Never once did it say on their site that this would be for every intersection. I can't comment on the up is always north comments.

I'm gonna try to get my dad and girlfriend to split the cost of this with me. I think $6.66 wouldn't be as much of a waste if it is worthless.

No, you're wrong. G-Map West is pure garbage, but miraculously, G-Map East is worlds better. ;)
