M MiBi4ever macrumors newbie Original poster Jan 5, 2009 #1 i am planning on upgrading my black macbook it is macbook4,1 with 2.4Ghz Duo core , 2Gb RAM DDr2 , 250 Gb HDD. I saw that the Penryn 's FSB is 800Mhz , so would it work with DDr3 ram ? or with PC6400 rams ? thanks

Buskape macrumors 6502 Jan 5, 2009 #2 It will work with PC6400 ram but not with DDR3 ram, the logic board won't support it as DDR3 is minimum 1066mhz ram
