Brien macrumors 68040 Jan 5, 2009 #4 Yep. Smarter to charge the Nano over the FW port, it'll charge faster, and if you have an older computer, it won't sync so the computer (iTunes) won't slow down. I've hooked up 4+ at once doing this method.

Should be no problem at all. FWIW, I have a 1st gen touch, 2nd gen Nano and 2nd gen Shuffle that I routinely do this.
