Someone elses MacBook disc's with My MacBook?

i have tiger on my macbook. and i really want leopard again.
my mate just bought a macbook like mine with leopard discs not tiger.
could i use his discs with my macbook ?

No, you need a full retail version of leopard, and not the reinstall discs that come with the computers

No you can't and it won't work I suppose. Just go out and get the full version and I'm pretty sure you can get discount since I'm assuming you are a student?
