Open picture in same window

Hey everyone, I wondering how it would be possible to make the following effect (see picture). I thought that there was a simple way of making the picture come out when you click on it, but im not sure how to do it, any help would be great, thanks! :D

Use any of the popular Javascript frameworks such as Lightbox2 (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/#example) or JQuery with the Facebox plugin (http://famspam.com/facebox). Demos and example code available in both.

There are some simple ways, but it requires some JavaScript knowledge. I've created some scripts myself for this purpose, but if you're not up to the programming then follow SrWebDeveloper's advice as there's a good number of pre-built scripts that'll do this for you and most are pretty easy to setup. One of my scripts is available for download off my site, you can find it through my profile if you're interested. It's one of the easiest to install, but other scripts have more options and effects so you should definitely "shop" around to see what you like best for your purpose.
