External Hardrive on Extreme Basestation

I have a 1 tb Mybook hooked to the usb port on my airport extreme basestation. Whenever I add that volume to my MBP through the wireless network it keeps adding a new volume with a number after it.

Example:

Mybook
Mybook 1
Mybook 2

Its up to Mybook 8, my computer thinks there are 8 mybook volumes attached to the computer.

How come this keeps happening?
