PCIe SATA ports - Windows status

Will Windows 'see' these as external or internal ports?

If external then there's no easy way to boot from a drive attached there, but if internal then i'm thinking Windows could boot from there in the same way it would from a disk in one of bays 1 to 4.

Almost positive that windows sees them as internal ports.
