I don't know what you've got against the analogies, they're nothing special, and they're not only used on MacRumors.

I know plenty of people who use those references. What maybe at work is regionally cultural differences. Things out on the East Coast use *sports* analogies, what do people up you're way use?

i'm from michigan and everyone uses them, too... doesn't mean i appreciate them though :) i believe we should great some mac analogies for use on macrumors in place of these cliched sports analogies :)

ok..first off...there was about 4 sentences that didn't make it on my post...that's not the first time that's happened to me..

now...what I had said was that I basically ran out of time tonite. I got home, did a few things, went for a bike ride, then cleaned my car...before I knew it, it was 8:30. It would have taken me too long to get showered & head uptown to Rocky's. :(

so I didn't go because it would have been closer to 10:00 before I'd actually be settling in there...

now...flame on ;)

Your hesitation might be an indication that you aren't really ready to go out and start playing the field again (sports analogy, ha) and I think if you don't do something soon, your window of opportunity will close.

My advice, don't mention any possible new women until they actually go out on a date of 5 with you. I think you should tell the woman about MacRumors before you tell MacRumors about the woman (actually, that's a really good idea). Any trail left behind that can be seen could cause problems that you don't need.

u are partially right in many ways...

I never really do well with the dating game to begin with, and what usually ends up happening is I just meet people I don't really like, but end up staying with the one I do like for a long time. I am a bit freaked out over taking the initiative and actively seeking out women, to a degree. As for windows of opportunity, u are also right...as one only gets so many chances before it's too late. I also played into it when I was considering being spontaneous the fact that if I did go & she said yes, I'm going to be staying with 3 girls this weekend in Florida...so when I get back?
