I was told there is no way to implement a background service in iphone, living as long as the telephony service or messaging service. Is that true?

There are Services in android for such intention. I want an iphone counterpart.

You obviously didn't search for the answer, which is in this recent thread:

The stock OS won't run any background service not created by Apple themselves (such a telephony).

Sorry for reiteration of the same question. Now it's confirmed, and I have to wait for time maturity.

Then you will have to wait forever... I don't think it will be added in the future.

It's not a matter of maturity, it's a conscious design decision.
