I watched a podcast from S Wittenburg where he gave a button by button how to operate and set up his DSLR . This was great , my manual has 286 pages of back and forth reading and it just seems complicated . So , have you seen or know where to find a similar video for the canon G10 ?It's a good way to sell the products . Yes , there are a lot of models out there , but think of how much paper you could save and the update's would be simple . Disc's are cheap .

Hate to say it, but reading the manual or a third party book on your camera is a really good investment of time if you plan on taking your photography at least reasonably seriously. Maybe try to go through it section by section as you have mastered certain aspects of the camera, instead of trying all the buttons and functions at once.

Sorry I can't help you with any video links.

DSLRTips.com has an excellent selection of video tutorials - not specifically for the G10, (or compacts) but very useful for getting ideas on certain types of photography
