One Itunes Gift Code on Two Seperate Accounts

Hi!

Is is possible to use one itunes gift card code on two seperate accounts? I'm about to get one from eBay and want to share it with my wife.

Is this possible? I was told that once you enter the code, all the amount will be dedicated to that accout. Can I allocate any amount?

Any feedback is aprreicated...
