My Rev. A MBAir has always held up fine. I have even run Final Cut on it. Yeah, it is not a beast, but it will do the job fine.

mine has been brilliant with imovie 08 thus far. not the fastest but always gets the job done. Fail to see the humour op.

The new Macbook Air will do just fine with iMovie 09. The older model will run it but expect core shutdowns, overheating etc.
