I have an Ipod Touch running 1.1.4. I've been hesitant to upgrade because I've heard that there have been problems with new firmware hurting battery life and wifi abilities. Everything seems to work ok on my ipod touch as is although the wifi/safari could be a little faster/more reliable but its perfectly useable. What's the newest version of ipod touch firmware, and are there a lot of issues with it?

Upgrade the water is fine. Apps are the best reason to upgrade.

Just take everything you read with a grain of salt. The people having problems are alway much more vocal than those who aren't. Rarely do you ever see someone make a thread to say how great there devices are working.

The only real bug ive come across is with safari dying once in a blue moon. Other than that mine works great. I'm on 2.2
