Apple in-ear headphones for recording lectures?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if the mic from the apple in-ear headphones will be suitable for recording lectures? Do you think the background noise will be louder than my prof's voice? I couldn't find any 'mic-adapter' for the 2G ipod touch.

I doubt it will suffice unless you're up rather close. I don't think they're noise canceling, are they?

I don't think it would record his or her voice, you would have to be rather close for it to work.
