Different range for each AirPort?

I want to get an AirPort for wireless but I don't know which one to get. I'll probably want the one with the longest range but I don't know which one that is. Thanks!

Airport Extreme will have the longest range. If you don't know, any wireless router will work with your Mac. The N router's have the longest range, with the G being next.

Why does the Extreme have longer range than the Express? I'm leaning more toward the wireless speakers more than hard drive compatability, but range trumps all. Thanks!
