I made a panorama in Photoshop the other day. I'd like to get it printed to a large banner. It is in a JPEG format and is 3820X928 pixels.

I have two questions, do you know of any company that prints large photographic banners and what size and I looking at? I did see that I can get Ritz to do a 12"X30". I'm just wondering how much white space will be left over.

at 30", your file will be just over 7.25" high. approx 127 dpi...

I don't know how good the image looks, but to me, that seems like an awfully large size to print something with resolution that low. Most people use a resolution of between 200 and 300 dpi for high quality prints, so at 30", you'd be using a file size of say 7500pix by 1822pix (assuming 250dpi).

Scaling and then sharpening a little in photoshop should get you a decent image as long as the print isn't viewed from real close up, and as long as the image doesn't have a lot of JPEG artifacts.

As for Ritz prints, I've never used them.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
