using the Mini Display Port on the new 17" macbook pro could i connect my 32" Sony LCD TV thanks
 
I use Mini DisplayPort to VGA to hook up to my LG 37" tele - works a charm.

I actually really like Mini DisplayPort - just for the size and the ease of putting it in and out. No need for such a huge adapter.
