Finally (after months of contract woes) my first app is up. :)

I have developed an application called 'Skies' for iPhone owning Astronomers.

Hope you guys like it. Please post any feedback you have. I'll update the app as I get feedback. Version 2.0 will have full GPS functionality and, of course, be a free update.

Here is a screenshot:

You can find the app in iTunes by searching for 'Skies' or by clicking this link: (Link will open in iTunes)

iTunes link to Skies (http://www.itunes.com/app/Skies)

Again, I'd like suggestions etc for improvements. Thanks for your time.

Below is the iTunes Blurb. :)

Skies is an application for viewing the transparency of the night sky.

You can view the transparency of the night sky anywhere in the world in a second. You can save your favorite locations and even use street addresses.

You get a 6-day outlook for transparency that is updated four times daily.

The 6-day outlook contains the lunar phase, the weekday, and the transparency forecast. The transparency forecast is indicated by the color on the top row. Each day has five segments, corresponding to five times: 6PM, 9PM, 12AM, 3AM, and 6AM (Local times)

Have fun with Skies!

just watched 'the black hole' from 1979: unchanged in my mind since i was a child old enough just to dream. now, a cool app that looks up along with me comes out. if you can pm me, touchmyapps.com would love to see just what this is really about.

Looks fun. If you are interested in sending out review copies, get into contact with me. It looks like you disabled pms/emails.

congrats :)

just curious: what do you mean when you say "contract woes"? It doesn't seem like there would be much licensing stuff to worry about?

Morning chaps,

shigzeo: Crazy post. You may come to my house anytime! Will pop to touchmyapps today.

jmccullough108: Will be in contact

shoelessone: It took me almost 3 months to get my app store contract sorted. They got lost/delayed somewhere along the way. Was on first names basis with most of apple support. lol.

Thanks for the responses guys. Re Skies, I'll be sending a GPS enabled version off for approval tonight so that significantly increases the functionality of the app.
