Need some good information regarding this apple macbook

Basically i have been trying to decide which mac to get and i have decided i might go with the basic $999 white macbook. my question is this, all i do is write a paper for college every now and than, listen to itunes, watch youtube and thats basically it. Would the white macbook be suitable for what i indeed to use it for? thanks

the cheapest one, the stuff you do doesn't require much power, if you wanna keep the macbook for the years coming, maybe get a 2.0ghz aluminum macbook from the refurb store, that way you can get extra power, and it'll last longer

yes, more than enough. get the edu discount and save even more.

oh yeah get 2GB ram, not from Apple. 1GB is good, 2GB is even better.
