Hello,

I was wondering if there was anyway to close the sidebar in 7, because I know in Vista you can just close the sidebar completely by right clicking the icon on the right hand side of the toolbar, but I don't see a way in 7 to do so.

When I check the task manager, the sidebar is using 28mb of memory, which means it is not part of the OS and its own seperate app.

The gadgets are now integrated into Explorer, and the sidebar is now gone.

I don't recall ever seeing a sidebar.exe in Windows 7 though (I'm not booted into it right now, so I can't verify).

It is just like the dashboard, it runs on System start and put the gadgets on desktop directly, the sidebar is gone now.
