Um, how do we know she's a virgin?
As Bob Dylan once whined, 'the times, they are a-changing.' Nowadays people who don't have sex by the time they're 22 tend to have religious beliefs that prohibit it. Clearly she doesn't as she is opening herself up to banging a bidder. (new eBay slogan?)
I would poke her if I had the chance, but pay that amount of money? I'm sorry, I'd be expecting to poke Jennifer Aniston for that kind of cabbage.
EDIT: I don't understand why she's so desperate to pay for her MSc, it's not even a real discipline. I can't prostitute myself to pay for my degree in economics. Christ knows we need more economists than family therapists given the times.

It isn't. That's what it is. In many places, that's not illegal, in particular the legal brothel in Nevada where the final 'transaction' will take place.
Originality? Of course not, she's just taking part in the longest running industry in human history.
Good luck to her.

Seriously there are prostitutes that are hotter than her going for what, £200 (that's a complete guess, I have no idea what a prostitute costs nor do I intend on finding out), and I would call that expensive just for sex.

EDIT: I don't understand why she's so desperate to pay for her MSc, it's not even a real discipline. I can't prostitute myself to pay for my degree in economics. Christ knows we need more economists than family therapists given the times. Really? good I'll talk to my employer about a pay raise... on the other hand a lot of Financial Institutions aren't in hiring moods... ;)
Getting back to topic, the economist in me wonders if we can model the point where the auction no longer "takes advantage" of this young woman, and starts taking advantage of the bidder.

Abstract
Jan 13, 2009, 11:12 AM
Nobody is worth £2.5 million. Nobody. If I can pull a girl 90% as hot as a girl who I'd consider really really stunningly beautiful and physically perfect, and do it without paying, that $4 million seems like an awful waste, even if I was the richest man alive.
For $4 million dollars, I better be able to bring 30 friends, rope, and lots of long vegetables, CDs, and other things to put inside of her. None of these things actually turn me on, but if I'm paying $4 million dollars for her mint condition vagina, I'd probably think, "Why the hell not?"

FREE ORAL SEX (http://www.louisvillefreeface.com/signup.htm). Well, that is, if you're a clean female (http://www.louisvillefreeface.com/terms.htm) in the Louisville Kentucky area.
Meet George Kistner. Sometimes he looks like Kid Rock (http://www.louisvillefreeface.com/index.htm)... sometimes he looks like a vampire (http://www.louisvillefreeface.com/aboutme.htm). Shoot, sometimes he even puts on a suit.
So hey, this is your big chance! If you're one of the millions of women who love oral sex, APPLY NOW*! (http://www.louisvillefreeface.com/application.htm)
*Some restrictions apply. Must purchase your own plane ticket to Louisville.
Oh, and you might not want to look at the website at work. There's no nudity but if someone sees you looking at it you don't want to give off the wrong impression.

Haha, not quite what I meant, economists are more valuable than financiers at this point in time ;)
Considering that 95% of economists failed to predict the credit crash, (I don't mean in handwaving terms, I mean in precise, specific terms and dates) economists are currently about as desirable and reliable as pissing upwind.
A marriage counsellor / family therapist (I think that's what you meant) on the other hand is someone who can help a lot of relationship pain, and help mend families in crisis, and give children a better start in life. I think that's a very very valuable thing to be doing.
And if some sucker will give her 2.5 million, go for it. I'd sell my bum for 2.5 million and I think most of you here would too. Especially if it was to someone I could screen and approve of in advance.

I'd sell my bum for 2.5 million and I think most of you here would too.Absolutely - for 2.5 million I'd sell your bum in a heartbeat.
Call me cynical, but I think it's unlikely she'll end up sleeping with the highest bidder. I suspect there's a good chance this auction will be pulled for some legal reason or other she might even pull it herself, if you excuse the expression. No problem though, as she'll rake in a fair bit of cash for interviews and such like no doubt her original intention.

You must be confusing 'economist' with 'clairvoyant.' Plenty of economists and financiers saw ALL of this coming years ago. Christ, even Jim Cramer saw it coming and predicted Bear Stearns would go under (the first bank that went under).
Marriage councilors are like the government's bailout plan. A way of prolonging the inevitable.

A 22-year-old woman is selling her virginity online offering her body to bidders nationwide in an auction that reportedly has netted a $3.7 million offer and the law isn't doing a thing to stop her.
The FBI isn't interested. The U.S. attorney doesn't care. Everything is fine by local police, and she isn't breaking any laws.
That's because Natalie Dylan, a made-up name for a real 22-year-old California college grad, is marketing her maidenhead in Nevada, where prostitution is legal.
But some religious legal groups are objecting to the sexual sale, saying they are concerned that its influence may reach beyond the borders of the "Battle Born" bordello state.
"It does seem crazy," said Mathew Staver, director of the Liberty Center for Law and Policy. "The rest of the country has an interest in stopping that kind of activity from spreading from Nevada to their home state." $3.7 million dollars? Doesn't this person know we're in a recession?

I don't know why someone would pay for her. Prostitution is about 1 hour of sex, and this girl is very average looking. Not really, it's been done before.
It seems that this girl just wants a bit of fame. She could have privately auctioned herself off and have not made it so public, even if she was just wanting to pay off or save for her degree then £2.5m is about a £2.4m more than what a masters course will set her back (guestimate, since I only know how much approx a masters would be in the UK). And given that her face has been plastered all over the papers how will she find getting employment now knowing what lengths she'll go to for money?
At least her sister had the better idea by keeping it a little more private.
Make no mistake that this girl just wants to become another overnight z-list celebrity alongside Jodie Marsh, Paris Hilton and that slice of society.
I love the ending quote
She added: "It's shocking that men will pay so much for someone's virginity, which isn't even prized so highly anymore."
Speak for yourself, love.

Unlike females, guy's don't have a tamper evident seal to assure you that they are fresh virgins.

Yeah, the hymen is so tamper evident. It doesn't always break during the first intercourse and it is often broken long before a girl first has intercourse; what century are we living in that we think the hymen is tamper evident? Maybe on a certain percentage of girls, but this chick could have had it with hundreds of guys and realized she still had her hymen.
There is no real foolproof way to tell that a girl is a virgin.
And she's a slut because she's going to do it with one guy and fund her entire education and probably a few houses while she's at it? I call that smart not being a slut. Some one who's done it with one guy at the age of 22 is hardly a slut, assuming you believe her virginity claim.
If I had $2.4m I wouldn't waste it going to University!
I'll be intrigued to know who would pay it. Surely you could seduce a virgin with minimal effort if you had that sort of cash.
That's the thing, if you had that much money couldn't you enroll in a college course, show up in your Ferrari, and pick up at least a few chicks, possible a virgin? I think this is a far cheaper alternative. Not that I condone the idea.
Of course maybe the guy is some sort of philanthropist and wants to help the girl go to college and have a life. Or more than likely the last 2 million in bids were bogus.
