Suggestions on Video Camera?

I'm looking for a video camera that works well with OS X and is reasonably priced (under $500). I know this is a terribly general question, but does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not doing any terribly high end work... I'm just looking to record some of my gigs.

A year ago I bought an end of year model Canon HD camera. The picture quality is outstanding. I also bought a discounted year-old version of iMovieHD (is it iWork or iLife? - I forget). It recognized the Camera immediately and can automatically copy/download the video. So, for what you want, I recommend you do the same - get the least expensive "recent" model and prepare to be surprised!
