Hard drive Question [Archive]

I have a PB 5300cs and the hard drive is dead. Does anybody know if a 1gb ata hard drive will fit? The one that is dead is only 500 mb. Please help.

It says it came with "hard drive: 500 MB, 750 MB, or 1.1GB EIDE" so I would assume a 1gb ata hard drive would work.

What Hard Drive fits all depends on the physical size.. checked the Powerbook Guy.. he says that you need to get an adapter to get anything bigger than a 2 gig in, but none the less lists 40 gigs that will work in your PB.
