Ok to translate.
Rev A.
HDD is 35/35 MB/sec (read/write)
SSD 64GB 50/30 MB/sec (SSD SLC samsung slowest and cheapest at the time!)
Rev B.
SSD128GB MLC 90/60 MB/sec (read/write). This seems to be the minimum we expect to win over the HDD speed and longer access times.
Just to note that Rev B speeds are almost TWICE the speed of Rev A SSD. Also twice the size.
The new ones coming out as a result of CES launches are more than twice the speed of the Rev B , they ran 200/160 at least and the Intel ones top out at 250MB/sec for reads. They are approaching SATA saturation levels.
Hence, I would expect the next iteration of fast notebooks will have TWO SATA channels to RAID 0 two units of 1.8inch 5mm drives for your standard 2.5inch bay. It makes a real wiched boot drive, then I would not mind a 500GB HDD to hold just data. *Ideal*:)
