Create network users from spreadsheet?

Hi

I have a network of 30 or 40 machines used by 500 people.

I need to create batch network users on X server

Doing all 500 manually will require alot of time

is there a way of using data in a spreadsheet to create users

I have tried with apple script but so far have had no results worth shouting about.

Hello.

Yes it is possible with a small amount of work.

Have a read of page 123 in the Command Line admin guide:

That gives you the instructions on how to create an import file and use that to create users.
