Red - something you don't see everyday

I stumbled across this link about the Red camera system. Wild ! Seems like a photo/cinema concept car. I believe at least part of the system in in production but I couldn't bring myself to look at the prices.

If I am not mistaken that company is owned by the same guy that owns Oakley. You can actually see the similarity in design too.

The guy is an optic genius and he is already rich so for him profit isnt the main goal as making a kick ass product. That is why RED products are underpriced so aggressively.

If you look at the HUGE landscape format camera that is going to come out it is insane. This is really pushing the limits of what is possible and giving the tools to creative people to do their stuff.

Yes, I wish I could afford one. Until then, I am stuck with my 5DMrkII...
