Does apple own this?

Hi all,

Do apple own any trademarks, patents, copyrights, whatever on the *** for the rest of us, saying?

I saw a company, can't even remember who they are now I'll try and find it, who aren't apple and aren't owned by apple who were using this slogan. Are they allowed to?

They do. A copyright on "The computer for the rest of us."

Would that mean someone couldn't use "The computer for the rest of us" but someone could use "The really nice pancake mix for the rest of us"?

Well, yes. IP Law is a little funny. We'd have to know how sensitive a company is about protecting their IP. Apple is pretty fair. They let folks get fairly close, then usually when another company produces something that is blatant enough that we here notice, they tend to go after them.

On the flip side of redicularity, look at the SCO mess. Talk about a teensy bit overzealous.
