emac panther in g4

Just purchased panther off of ebay, not paying attention, got emac software, can I load this on my G4 or am I asking for trouble? I am running 10.2 on a g4 dp

Panther will work fine on an eMac, and any G4 for that matter.

i think o.p. asked about putting on a panther that came with an emac on his dp PM...

regardless, the answer is probably the same. it should work...

I see. Yes it should work. If the discs that came with your emac are upgrade
disks, they check to see if version 10.2 is present on the computer.

OS9 wants to start up when I boot up, osx boots then a small box with os9 opens and dissapears, not a big deal but dont remember it doing it before? Thanks again for the help

open system prefs then the classic pref panel and uncheck "Start Classic when you login"
