They just said on MSNBC that he was awake at the hospital and answering questions. Hopefully he was just worn down from all the inauguration excitement.

I heard also that he might be exhausted from his treatment for cancer. Hopefully, he'll be up and about in no time at all...

While I don't agree with him politically, I hope he gets better soon. Personally, I believe that he should step down from the Senate and concentrate on his health issues.

I think it's very likely Senator Kennedy will step down well before his term ends in 2012--his health is getting increasingly worse and we could see a successor appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts probably by 2010 at latest.

My sentiments exactly. Too bad Caroline is already slated for NY Senator, replacing HRC...:(

Kennedy should have stepped down long ago. This is not a dignified way to end ones career in public service. Much worse if he dies in office this way.

Caroline has asked NY Governor to remove her name from HRC's Senate Seat.:(
