so i bought TF 2, from steam through crossover and for some reason around 20 seconds into the game it just Quits or randomly freezes. I set the settings on high but i didnt see any slow downs or any graphical errors occurring but. Did anyone get this and if you did how did you fix it?

I've actually experienced the same thing, I play in a window through steam since I purchased the game. A couple days ago I upped the resolution while still playing in a window, and it'll freeze up around 40 seconds or so. I'd force quite crossover. Start it again in the new higher resolution, and the same thing happens. I then go back to the old resolution and no more freeze up.

It could be a paged pool error, that must be transferring over to OSX somehow.
Back when I only had 1gb of Ram my TF2 would throw errors up at me and then freeze entirely. I went into the Windows Registry and allocated more paged pool memory and it totally fixed the problem. This would only happen if I had the texture settings set to very high.
All I can think of suggesting is to up the Ram allocation.
BTW the game runs perfectly on a 9400m under Bootcamp ;)

A number of things affects performance
- Resolution, 1024x768, etc.
- Antialias, 2x antialias = speed is 1/2
- Quality of textures, etc.
You might want to lower some of those.
I am pretty sure there is an auto-adjust to system performance feature? Did you use that?
