:cool: Not as impossible as everyone says, and no hardware modding needed.
Note this is currently any PC, not any Mac - it works on my MacBook Pro in Boot camp, but I haven't tried doing this in OS X yet. I will do tonight if I have time. Here's instructions anyway:

I'll have to try it out of curiousity. But putting the boot in, why would you want to pick an MBA SD for any PC - when you can buy the likes of the LG GP08LU10 for typically the same amount?

Ah, I was just hacking for fun. I got one with a damaged lead (that the seller said did not work at all) on ebay for £20 as I was after the drive inside.
I plugged it into my MBP to see what happened, and noticed Windows recognised it, but wanted a driver. I tried it in OS X last night and no joy. It won't boot from it either. I also tried it on a Dell 4700, and it works there too.
