recently JB my 16g 3g, I only installed cyrecorder and bosspref, I tried ireal SMS, my SMS, and bite SMS, but there either trail version or I need credits. I know yellowsnow had recently came out how can I install it, is it worth it and what about winter board, I used it once nothing worked.

I figured that, but I tried to search nothing really. So it's best to start over.

You have to add the repository that yellosn0w is located in. Check here

The app I use the most is PdaNet. I don't even use any other apps. So there you go I guess the best app for me is PdaNet.

Also using pdanet(currently typing on tethered laptop). 1 click login, very easy.

Winterboard is good if you like themes. Currently trying to change individual icons though, seems most themes have installer or cydia but not both.

Inteliscreen is cool, but only a 14 trial(weather calender etc on your lock screen).

Sbsettings can be useful but you have add which settings you want as additional downloads which is kinda lame(toggles for wifi bluetooth etc).

Iblank for arranging your homescreen(blank icons as place holders)

At&t logo(alternate logo)

Thnx I tried SBSsettings but for some strange reason I can never get it to open. I kind of dislike the fact that we have trial version of the apps, I rather just have it for free but if it's worth to pay money for of then by all means I'll do it. But if I do a fullyrestore and I brought the full app will I have to buy the license again?

I can't say for other apps, but PdaNet gives you a registration number. I would think you save the number, and enter it upon restoring and rejailbreaking.

These are truly the best apps though. Big difference. :p

EDIT: Broke my own rule and was a smart a** without contributing. SBSettings is definitely the best and most useful app. Swiping the status bar is all it takes. You shouldn't be having problems with it.

Yes. I can't tell you what it is though.

You're swiping the bar at the top of the screen with the battery/clock/carrier logo right? While it's unlocked?

EDIT: After reading your post again, it looks like you're "sliding to unlock" and hoping for something. You have to do this at the TOP of the screen while the phone is unlocked.

I don't know everything about BossPrefs but I'm sure people prefer SBS because you don't have to open an app to access the settings.

And it looks much cooler.

Thnx a lot, I rather have less apps. LOL but has anyone notice their battery life decreasing faster? My 3g is almost dead and it's only half a day of work for me. My phone usally dies out by 10pm after using it so much. Also which SMS app do you guy like or use the most?

Well, some of the truly best JB apps imo are: WinterBoard, BossPrefs/SBSettings (I have both), MxTube, NES, iMobileCinema, and... Clippy? :p:p

Winterboard is cool but some of the themes don't load so I unistalled the program.

I use the regular SMS for my iPhone I can't deal with a trial version or to pay for credits. I'm already paying for unlimited txt MSG.

Airplane, Autolock, and AutoCorrect Toggles. As well as little tweaks/mods such as Numeric battery. However, I like SBSettings for quick access, and the Processes add-on I got for it. :)

I also can't stand the other SMS apps, I've tried some and they messed up all my texts, and always showed as '-1'. I might try one again in future, once they've fixed the many, many bugs....

Strange, ALL my themes work perfectly.

Yea, I notice a few different SMS apps, but I rather wait until later, maybe apple will give
us a landscape SMS with copy and paste(yeah right). Now back to winterboard maybe it's just me or a bug I'll try it one more time.

Processes add-on?

Yes, it's in Cydia. When you bring down the SBSettings menu there is a 'Processes' toggle, which you tap and a list of all running applications will appear, and you can end them. Great if your home button no longer works, or if you use Backgrounder! :D
