So I found my old external iSight hiding in a box in the attic and I was about to sell it on eBay when I decided to play around with it a bit. The cylindrical barrel and simple design looked like something easy to mount for cool different perspectives.

Anyway, here's a couple things I've tried so far. Btw,

iSight Can Mount (http://gallery.me.com/pradador#100349/IMG_0049&bgcolor=black): Simple DIY mount for top-down perspective. I cut out a hole on the side of the can using an Exact-o knife for the firewire cable. The cable is then fed through the top rather than making another hole. I ran out of duct tape so I had to improvise and ended up using a baggage claim sticker lol. Here's a demo of the can mount in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6BfxrvZe8Y

Instrument Neck Mount (http://gallery.me.com/pradador#100349/IMG_0047&bgcolor=black) (Alt. View (http://gallery.me.com/pradador#100349/IMG_0048&bgcolor=black)): This type would vary depending on your instrument, but the basic mount technique should remain the same. I didn't want to use tape so twisty thingies were the next best idea. Pictures should be self explanatory. Here's the demo of this mount: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYtOxxFmoYs
