For the past couple weeks, when I export movies from iMovie, the amount of time remaining actually increases as the progress bar goes up 
I am not opening any other apps or taking up resources in any way. It starts at 80 minutes, then 120 minutes when the progress bar is 1/4 of the way, then 140 when its 1/3 of the way. iMovie never ceases to amaze me
