I have a 60gb ipod that needs a new battery. I tried to put in a battery from a 30gb video, and i got the ipod icon with the sad face and exclamation mark. So, the ipod had a 30gb battery wit ha 60gb hard drive. Could this be because the 30gb battery doesnt give it enough power to power the hard drive?

Thanks,

---David

Did it work after you reinstalled the original battery? Maybe you did a crummy job hooked the hard drive up.
