Could this not have gone in one of the half-dozen threads in which we also know absolutely nothing about the update?

It's not a Tuesday. ;)

The 20th is though, that year, and that's my birthday, so that's cool. :D

And yes, I did click through iCal to see if it was a Tuesday or not.

Why?

Tallest Skil

Why?

April (All Fool's) Day. You're off your game today, I think. :D;)

Also, it's Apple's birthday.

I'm hoping the update comes this Tuesday. It is my last day to return my new iMac.

Anytime after June is good for me.
Otherwise, I haven't got a clue when an update is coming, I was surprised nothing was announced that MacWorld.

Never! Muhuhahah!

Seriously though, I hope sometime in 2009. Concurrent with Snow Leopard's release would be the bee's knees. That way, people who bought new iMacs would have spinning heads from all the new-ness.

If we're throwing out guesses, I say Feb 17, with Mac Minis being updated Feb 3, that puts Apple releasing an updated Mac every other Tuesday this year so far, perhaps March 3 for Mac Pro? (asking Tallest Skil) I don't know if the new processors will be available then or not.

I'm looking forward to much head spinning when I order my new iMac (with Snow Leopard) and an iPod Touch ;)

I bet I pass out for at least an hour!

Has anyone else noticed (from looking at the buyers guide) since 2003 the iMac updates have come 9 months apart at most and they were last updated about 9 months ago, what do you guys think coming soon or are they going to make this one of the longest times between updates?

lol, I figure all the laptop updates are done with now, which took from Oct 14th-Jan 20th, they should give us 3 months of desktop updates now. However I realize what they should do is probably not what they're going to do so I'm just throwing what I hope to happen out there, but if I'm right someone owes me a $1.

I'll mail you 100 pennies if you're right.
I hope that they don't do all that in the next three months, if they do then there's not much more to release at WWDC.

Apple did release the updated white MacBook on a Wednesday. Maybe Apple is changing their game up. Sounds like they are going to release anytime they please, and maybe/maybe not specifically on Tuesday's.

Not much more that you know of :p They'll release Snow Leopard by that time probably and maybe a secret project like a tablet or something, I don't know, iPhone nano, whatever the Apple hopefuls are talking about now, AppleTV update?

From Engadget
Apple quietly updates $999 white MacBook with unibody specs
by Thomas Ricker, posted Jan 21st 2009 at 5:27AM

I doubt it was updated sometime before 5:27AM so it was more than likeley updated the Tuesday before and engadget and MRs didn't notice till Wed morning.

From Engadget:
Why yes, yes it has... sometime in the last 3 days according to Google's cache.

DAMMIT!
I don't want to get in trouble for correcting you.

EDIT: Screw it... I don't think Pasen is planning on releasing a smaller version of their iTouch (http://en.pasen.it/product_detail.php?id=23).

well lets think

macpro
imac and mac mini

all are in need of a refresh and that only
wouldnt they just use something big like wwdc for introducing redesigns? or bigger projects.

i honestly dont see the 3 in need of any redesigns what so ever.

snow leopard seems like it will be out julyish or either after wwdc.

how do we know there WILL be a wwdc

MasterNile

Yes I would say redesigns are not in order for the Mac Pro or iMac, the Mac Mini is a possible redesign, but then again maybe they want the under $1000 Macs to have the white casing (like the $999 MacBook) so the aluminum Macs are some kind of status symbol, almost like how they had the white MacBook and the black MacBook.

According to this posted in another thread, Mac Pro might be Silver and Black.

Macosrumors is absolute, total, worthless crap, in terms of their rumor claims.

They're liars with a history of simply making up the information they profess to have.

:eek: Blimey, a little strong maybe :eek:Not only that, but it's grammatically incorrect: "is" is the singluar form of the verb but "their" is the plural third-person pronoun. :D
