I need help. My MacBook won't start up right. The battery is full. The screen does light up, but the little Apple symbol doesn't show. After waiting about 30-45 seconds, There is a file icon and a question mark on it. I also hear a clicking noise in the corner of the keyboard. If anyone knows how to fix this, please post a comment/response or email me at DJR412@hotmail.com.

hmm, clicking sound could be from a dying hd, the file icon with the question mark is just like the very old macs without an hd in them

The clicking sound is very faint. Click, clllick. click, clllick. It repeats over and over. It's coming from the right.

It sounds something like that. Basically, it's just like this... And I mean the white light in the front of the laptop.

thats odd cause it really should only being on when it is in in sleep mode, I have to say that I'm pretty sure that it is a hard disk failure since it won't boot up, is it still under warranty.

So, what can I do to make my MacBook work again?

I'd recommend taking it into an apple store if you have on near by so you can have someone at a genius bar take a look at it. Oh and if it is under warranty, I'm almost completely sure you can have the hd replaced for free.

I had this with mine. It went back to Apple who replaced the Hard Disc as it had siezed, so I hoped you were backed up. Seems there is a bad batch of seagate drives doing the rounds.
