I'm new to the forum - and to Macs so please bear with me. I have a MacBok Pro (OS X 10.5.6, 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) w/ 1TB Time Capsule for backup. I'm deep into research for new HD camcorder (considering Canon Vixia series) and was hoping to get some good pointers here on what other peripherals to consider.
I'll probably be using iMovie '09 mostly, possibly Final Cut Express as well. I've read that miniDV tapes still offer best video quality and have also considered the Canon HV30 due to video quality and built-in storage benefits of tape.
I'm interested in hearing any/all descriptions of preferred setups and why.
Any advice is welcome.
