iPod touch iPod Touch not working.

I got my iPod Touch about three months ago and was loving it, until it blanked out a few days ago. I thought it may had died out, but I plugged it into my computer it wasn't even being read on the computer. I have no ideo what to try next, besides bring it to an apple store. ANY IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON?

Does trying to reset it work (will the apple logo show)? If now maybe try plugging it into a power source and wait for a while before trying to turn it on etc. If none of this works I'd bring it into a store.

Does it show the sad face when you press the button or do a hard reset? If so, bring to the Apple store.

Press the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously for 5-10 seconds, until the apple logo appears.
