Just came across an app in beta testing - Total Traction:
It uses the built in accelerometers in your phone to continuously estimate how close your car is to loosing traction, or skidding.

Yeah sure. They said I'd get an email in the first week of February if I got accepted into the beta. I'll let you know then....

Oh gosh, this app is going to need a huge disclaimer to dodge litigation in this country. I can just see some idiot driving too fast for the conditions just because his app tells him he has adequate traction. "But, Total Traction said I was fine!..."

Hahah, my thoughts exactly, however the app itself does look rather interesting...I applied for beta as well.

It's not even in beta yet. That is what this post is about.
It says the beta testers will be selected in the first week of February
