For those of you who haven't taken the plunge and bought Sega's adventure game Super Monkey Ball (Me included), there is now a Lite version available! There is a tutorial level and 3 whole stages (110 in 7.99 version) out now! Enjoy and thank you Sega:D

Probably not a good move from Sega - everybody will see how uncontrollable it is and not waste their cash. Really wish there'd been a lite version before I threw away £5.99 on it

I'll have a go with that, its one of those games that I'd like to try before buying.

It was great and a huge hit when it first came out with the app store. But really, so many apps out there have given this one a run for its money, the money people would rather spend on other apps.

I'd disagree, and say that I think it's probably a wise move on their part.... as with any lite/free app, a whooooole lot more people that otherwise would probably have passed over on the game because of its relatively high price will download the game and try it out. Sure, a bunch of them will probably just play the lite version, but at least some of them will probably enjoy it and end up buying the full game. At worst, a few people who might have blind-bought the game would try out the free game first- but then if they would have been willing to buy it in the first place they're probably still fairly likely to pick it up after playing through the free version.
Given that the full version has been out since late August, I wouldn't be surprised if their sales were sagging a bit. As iShoot Lite proved quite effectively recently (driving the 3-month-old full version up to #1 paid app for a while), the release of a free Lite version can be an excellent way to boost sales.
