Increased support for 3G streaming: QuickTime Broadcaster includes enhanced support for live streaming to mobile devices that support the 3GPP standard.
iPhone and video. Just a rumour.

Ditto. When I saw this headline, I was like "What the hell is Quicktime Broadcaster?"

I have to agree with that. The update looks minor. Only one improved feature was mentioned in the post.
MacRumors should make a separate area for all of Apple's software updates. There are so many of them and most of them are even too small to be mentioned.

What do they mean by "affordably"?
Does it cost money to use this program?

Quicktime Broadcaster is free. It is to generate video streams in Quicktime-supported formats. It can also be used to record a file of your incoming video. It can work with Firewire sources, iSight, or video coming in from a full-fledged capture card such as a Kona. It's pretty cool, especially for being free, but Wirecast (now owned by Telestream) is much more full-featured.

Thanks for the info.
At $449.00 I would hope that Wirecast is much more full featured...
