Parallels tools in Ubuntu

I just can't get Parallels Tools to install in my Ubuntu VM. The "CD" mounts but even when I try to open the installer in Terminal nothing happens. Is there a trick for this that I'm missing?

Hey yeah me too every time i try to install parallel tools it says that there is some error and cant complete the installation :/
