bad usb ports on 23" ACD

My usb ports on my ACD have stopped working. Searched the forums and found someone else with the problem, but no solution. Does anyone have any more ideas about this?

The ACD is 2 years old, so it's out of warranty, and I didn't get Applecare for it. Yikes.

Mine was bad on my 30" ACD sent in to the Apple Store, and it was some kind of board inside the monitor, was replaced and all is ok.
