I want to restore my iPhone, and before I do I want to take all my cycorder vids off it and have them on my PC, I can copy my photos by browsing the iPhone from my computer, and iam using the handy funambol app for my contacts. Just need the vids off.

Search how to SSH. :)
Then, once you've learnt how to SSH go too: /private/var/mobile/Media/Videos :D
Edit: Here (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/guide/short-and-sweet-ssh-guide-for-the-iphone-300323.php) is how to SSH the iPhone.

Cheers, I have SSH'ed in the past but that was a while ago. Is there anyway you can keep all your JB apps?

I was wondering the same myself. I've only had my phone jailbroken for a week.

I believe that's what you see in Cycorder. You know when you're in the app and have the videos displayed? I think that those files are what is shown there, as a sort of 'preview' of the video.
Hope that clears things up.

Indeed there is, search AptBackup in Cydia. when you run the app you can backup all your JB apps. When you sync with iTunes a file is placed in your backup, which contains a list of the apps. This is JB data, but WONT be wiped off like all other JB data. When you want your apps back, restore your backup onto the phone, download AptBackup again, and there's an option to restore all JB apps.
Also see AppBackup for the same, but with official apps. :D

Okay, here's how:
Use AptBackup and backup JB apps
Sync (backup) your iPhone to iTunes
Do your restore
Update, jailbreak again or whatever
Restore your backup (The iTunes one) onto the Phone
Install AptBackup
Restore your apps. :)
I can't quite remember if you get AptBackup first, then restore your iTunes backup, or restore your iTunes backup, then install AptBackup. I don't think it matters really.

No. the videos are in /private/var/mobile/Media/Videos, which is where i told him to go in the first place. Cycorder just saves an image from the video as a 'preview'.

No problem! :D

Can you open them on your computer? I'm still pretty sure it's the preview picture of the video.
