my friend have an ipod nano bought outside of our country and for some reason it doesn't turn on anymore. so i went to our local apple authorized service provider and ask for a repair but they said they don't honor it cause i did not buy it from their store. from what i know is that apple has a worldwide warranty for their products. please help me. what can i do?

fyi: our country does not have an apple store.
