Occasional iPhone restart brings up "Please connect to iTunes"

Occasionally when I reboot my iPhone 3G (which i don't do very often), it'll ask to be connected to iTunes for activation.

If I switch it off and restart again, it usually will start ok and display the message "iPhone activated" as soon at its up and running.

I'm on the O2 UK network.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

This has happened to me once or twice, but it always fixes itself. Likely is just a bug with the OS software.
